Premiérova cesta do Indie podtrhla úspěchy české vědy a odstartovala strategickou spolupráci

Získáváme know-how, jak úspěšné země podporují startupy

Vidíte to podobně? S CzechInvestem spolupracujeme, pořádáme společné akce a snažíme se navzájem doplňovat. CzechInvest je zaměřený na podporu konkré

National Day of the Republic of South Africa

Your Excellency, distinguished guests, we are here today to commemorate 29 years of freedom in South Africa. In April 1994 South Africa held its first elections, in which all citizens of the country were able to participate. Today, almost three decades later, South Africa remains a model for parliamentary democracy throughout Africa. I am therefore honoured to have the opportunity to congratulate the South African Government and people today on this great achievement. Dear Ambassador, the people of Czechia were standing side by side with your people as friends during the entire time of South Africa's struggle for independence. As friends, who learned the value of freedom and democracy the hard way, and who are now enjoying and appreciating their full benefits. Symbolically, this friendship was sealed right from the start by the very close relationship between presidents Nelson Mandela and Václav Havel. In Europe, we realise the symbolism of the South African Freedom Day now perhaps

Zahájení Česko-izraelského fóra v Tel Avivu

Dear Deputy President, Distinguished Colleagues, Dear Friends, Ladies and Gentlemen, A strong and deeply rooted friendship between the Czech and Israeli people was recently described as a “Mysterious Bond”.  At the first glance, it seems rather exceptional that two nations who live in different regions quite far away feel so much mutual sympathy and affection. However, there are many reasons why that relationship is so special, including those anchored in history and shared values. Moreover, it is also based on our mutual respect and understanding. We are attentive to each other and this openness strengthens vibrant Czech-Israeli partnerships at all levels: political, economic, cultural, and, last but not least, in the field of research.  We cherish that Czech and Israeli scientists work together on a number of bilateral and multilateral projects of common interest. The output of their collaborations is growing year by year measured not only in terms of joint publications but also in

One year since Russia’s illegal invasion of sovereign Ukrainian territory

One year since the start of Russia’s brutal war we have been horrified by Russia’s blatant violation of the rules–based international order. Russia must immediately, completely, and unconditionally withdraw its forces and military equipment from the entire territory of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.  Ukraine is not only defending itself and its people in line with Article 51 of the UN Charter. Ukraine is also defending the fundamental principles of the UN Charter. The Czech Republic stands with Ukraine as long as it takes and remains committed to supporting Ukraine’s wish for a just peace in line with the UN Charter. Since the beginning of the war, we have been incessantly hearing about arbitrary detentions, ill-treatment, killings and forced abductions. Mass graves and torture chambers have been found in almost all towns liberated by Ukrainian army. Russia’s massive airstrikes, deliberately conducted in densely populated areas, are destroying civilian infrastru
